Thailand Roadshow 2026

FCT-FMF financial seminar in Bangkok

FinCity.Tokyo conducted a roadshow in Thailand in mid-October, during the IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings. During the visit, FinCity.Tokyo co-hosted a seminar in collaboration with Frankfurt Main Finance, its MoU partner, and also spoke at GFTN Select Thai.

As the world faces growing financing needs to achieve a more resilient global economy—including the transition to decarbonization, climate adaptation finance, and supply chain restructuring—cooperation among international financial centres is receiving increasing attention.

Taking advantage of the IMF Annual Meetings, the roadshow brought together financial experts from Tokyo, Frankfurt, and Bangkok. In particular, we welcomed distinguished speakers, including Professor R. Alexander Lorz, Minister of Finance of the State of Hesse, and Ms. Tarisa Watanagase, former Governor of the Bank of Thailand. Their contributions enabled in-depth discussions on FinCity.Tokyo’s vision of addressing societal challenges through finance. FinCity.Tokyo was also represented by Tetsuya Inoue, head of policy research and Laurent Depus, Ambassador of FinCity.Tokyo.

Thailand’s NBT (Channel 11) produced a report from the event:
