The 2nd UK–Japan Transition Finance Forum 2026 was successfully held.
- FinCity.Tokyo held the 2nd UK–Japan Transition Finance Forum 2026 in London on 23 June. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all participants and speakers, as well as to the GX Promotion Agency, Nomura Holdings Inc., and The CityUK for their support.
From FinCity.Tokyo, Executive Director Tokio Morita joined the forum and held a dialogue with Dr. Dai Yamawaki, Vice President (Equities) at Nomura Asset Management U.K., on the topic of “Prime Minister Takaichi’s Responsible Proactive Fiscal Policy and Investment in Green Transformation (GX).”

We also gained valuable insights through the substantive panel discussions with expert speakers, exploring how Japan and the UK are jointly advancing financing approaches that support the transition to net zero.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the GX Promotion Agency, Nomura International, and TheCityUK for their support in making this event possible. We also wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all the speakers who joined us.

Since the first UK–Japan Transition Finance Forum last year, FinCity.Tokyo has been co‑hosting the UK–Japan Transition Plan Dialogue with the International Transition Plan Network (ITPN) and the University of Oxford, facilitating ongoing exchanges between the two countries and expanding knowledge‑sharing and networks in sustainable finance.
At this year’s forum, we presented and released the Joint Statement on Findings and Recommendations as the outcome of these discussions.
The Joint Statement (English only) is available here.
(Reference) Information on the publication of the Joint Statement is available on the ITPN website here.
The archive video will be released at a later date.
