It was a great honour to meet with H.E. Ms. Béatrice Le Fraper du Hellen, Ambassador of France to Japan, together with Hiroshi Nakaso, Chairman of FinCity.Tokyo, on 9 March 2026, to exchange views on global financial developments and financial cooperation between France and Japan.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Gilles Bordes, (Ministre Conseiller pour les Affaires Economiques
Service Economique), and Mr. Arthur Sogno Pèes, (Conseiller financier, Adjoint au chef du SER, Représentant de la Banque de France (Japon-Corée du Sud)) from Embassy of France in Japan, as well as Tokio Morita, Executive Director of FinCity.Tokyo.
The discussion covered developments relating to central banks and changes in the international financial environment. Views were also exchanged on cooperation between Paris Europlace and FinCity.Tokyo. In addition, we also shared perspectives on emerging themes such as digital finance and transition finance.
Looking ahead, FinCity.Tokyo will continue to build on the MoU with Paris EUROPLACE and further advance collaboration between the French and Japanese financial communities through upcoming opportunities, including events planned in Tokyo this October and Paris Infra Week.
