FinCity.Tokyo (FCT) will be exhibiting at a booth and hosting sessions at SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026, an event organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, serving as a hub to connect financial players from Japan and abroad.
FCT will participate in SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026, hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, as a hub connecting domestic and international financial players, featuring a booth and hosting sessions. The booth will feature emerging asset management firms (EMs) selected through FCT’s EMShowcase, as well as fintech companies invited by FCT, who will present sessions in the Investor Area.

1. Family Offices Session

Family offices (FOs) are key long‑term investors managing the wealth of high‑net‑worth families and founders, increasingly deploying capital directly into startups.
In this session, we will welcome overseas family offices (FOs) with expertise in regions such as Asia and North America, and delve into their investment strategies, what they expect from investing in Japanese startups (SUs), and how they communicate with their portfolio companies.

The signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FinCity.Tokyo (FCT) and Luxembourg for Finance (LFF) will formalize a new framework for mutual collaboration in global financial promotion. The ceremony will feature a fireside chat with representatives from both organizations, highlighting SusHi Tech Tokyo, the strengths of Tokyo’s financial market, and expectations for future cooperation. By announcing this partnership between the leading financial promotion bodies of Tokyo and Europe, the event will showcase a new collaborative relationship that connects startups with international financial hubs.

Each presenter will also outline concrete intentions for collaborating with Japanese startups and creating new business opportunities, offering a platform that fosters future partnerships.

In this session, we welcome a selection of distinctive EMs featured in the FinCity.Tokyo EM Showcase. Together, we will explore how they evaluate investment opportunities, what makes a company “investable,” and how Japanese startups should envision their growth trajectory. The discussion will also deepen understanding of effective investor communication, including engagement beyond the IPO stage.
