FinCity.Tokyo willbe holding global symposyum titled ‘FinCity Global Forum – Transition Finance / Challenges and opportunities for Tokyo – on February 3rd, 2023.
Expanded transition finance is critical to shifting to a decarbonized economy, and its importance has been increasing with the global reassessment of strategies to deal with climate change in the context of the situation in Ukraine and the worsening of supply constraints.
Tokyo is expected to play a role as an international financial center in Asia, where manufacturing industries are concentrated, and to also serve as a bridge to Europe and US while sharing an understanding with Asia in terms of transition finance.
The forum will focus on the prospects for the future and the issues that both the public and private sectors need to address.
Leaders in policy and practice from Japan and abroad will be invited to participate in the discussion, adding their perspectives derived from issues such as the development of supply chain finance and the application of digital financial technology.
